Good Noises: The Sprites ‘I Started A Blog Nobody Read’

One of the problems I have is finding good music. I have had some success with Emusic’s Download of the Day, I listen when anyone recommends things to me and I keep an eye out on some music sites but I still don’t find that much that really interests me. So I have decided when I do find something I like, I will post about it here. I don’t want to be a music blog, but good bands, artists and songs are hard to come by so I will share what I like. My caveats are that my tastes are broad and eccentric, just because I like a song or band doesn’t mean anyone else in the world will. I have no idea normally what is a hit in the real world, so if I post up something that was a big hit six months ago please forgive me.

Anyway, here is the first song I like and it comes with a video! This is the Sprites, apparently a DC based band led by Jason Korzen, doing ‘I Started A Blog Nobody Read‘. You can get the latest album from the Sprites on Emusic*. For those of you who still crave a CD, Amazon has Modern Gameplay but only two copies left as of today.

*Emusic offers a deal for 25 free songs if you join, there is a way that I can get some songs too for pointing you there, if you are tempted to join please drop a comment below and we can both score some free music. Emusic sells DRM free MP3 files so you can burn them on CDs, put them on your music players include Ipods, or just roll around naked in them the the artist gets paid and the RIAA won’t sue you. They are cheap per song, but only offer music by monthly subscription which is just odd. They also sell by the song only, do you tend towards artists who don’t pack an album with tons of short songs.

Video found via Fuhnie Dot Com which also has the lyrics.

I’m thinking about it, but that probably doesn’t surprise anybody. Does it come with a burrito?

  2. Brett Says:

Burrito only available if close enough that I can deliver one. Burrito unavailable where prohibited by law or ancient custom. Operators are standing by.
