Today In History: The Frisco Shoot Out
December 1rst: Today in 1884 Sheriff Elfego Baca was besieged in a house by eighty cowboys trying to break a prisoner free, by the time the siege was lifted over four thousand bullets had been shot through the house but Elfego and his prisoner where unharmed. During the siege Elfego killed four of the attackers, wounded eight. A year later he was put on trial for killings but was acquitted after the door to house was admitted as evidence with over four hundred bullet holes in it.
