El Perro Del Mar is a one person band from Sweden with a unique singing style you will likely either love or hate. I really like it obviously, but the sound is so distinct that I suspect it will be like the Indigo Girls for me, I will love her work in small doses. Anyway the song I love is God Knows, which you can download from her myspace page here to give it a listen. I find it haunting, you may just find it annoying, but what the hey. Her album is available from Emusic here or at Amazon here. The whole album is pretty good.

Now for the bonus bands. I am a chowder head, while searching for El Perro Del Mar I searched El Pollo Del Mar instead and found this great surf band! Their website is here and they have some great songs available for download. I really like their cover of Take Me Out To The Ballgame. Surf music is a love of mine, so while looking at the store that was supposed to have the albums for El Pollo Del Mar, but apparently doesn’t, I came across Susan and the Surftones*, who also have music available to give a try. It is not often that my being stupid pays out so well, so enjoy all three bands!
