For the History Buffs Out There
For my friends with an interest in history there is a good collection of videos or audio from lectures available from WGBH in Boston on a number of good historical topics. Looks like there is one on the notorious cross dressing soldier Deborah Sampson as well as some good ones on the Continental Army. Tons of good lectures on all periods of history and topics as well. Real Audio sadly, but well worth a look.

History’s okay, I guess. If you’re into that sort of thing.

Thanks for pointing out the audio format issue. Some of the more recent items are MP3s while many of the older ones are indeed Real Audio. I updated the entry to warn people about that.

Glad to hear they are switching over, Real Audio and I just don’t get along. It used to cause my PC all sorts of problems then was a bear to remove when I finally decided it wasn’t worth it. I have to say that site is full of fun looking stuff, just not enough to make me go through the hassle of Real Audio again.
