February 20th: Today in 1944 the RAF and US Army Air Corp began “Big Week“, a series of major attack on German industry in an attempt to cripple its war production. Loss were heavy during the raids but thanks to heavy fighter coverage the Luftwaffe lost many fighters and the allied fighters felt this was when air superiority was gained.
