What a Sewer.
I am amazed by what a sewer CNN has become. I am sitting in an airport lounge and for more than an hour they have be dredging dirt about some dead celebrities baby. Complete and total crap, I often hear people complain about FOX News and wondered how CNN wasn’t beating it to a pulp, now I know. I don’t catch much TV news, sorry if this is old news to everyone else on the planet.

At work, we often listen to Fox, CNN and MSNBC when news is happening. Yeah, it’s all crap. During breaking events, all of them seem to rise to the occassion, though the level of intensity each organization brings is amusing. During news lulls? It’s the same intensity, but the news is like, wtf? At the beginning of the Iraq invasion (part II), I once switched sources between the TV news and ours… it was a hoot. “DOOM AND GLOOM” *click* “Doom and Gloom!” *click* “Doom and Gloom?” *click* “So General, can we trust what we’re hearing about this doom and gloom?” Depending on your political beliefs, you can decide which one NPR was. If I’d had Pacifica on the dial, it would’ve been “The man wants to feed us some ‘doom and gloom’ shit.”
I’m sometimes saddened when someone high up in news decides a celebrity breakdown is a news event. At least here I don’t think the decision is based on just filling out minutes of air time. Small comfort, but I cling to it.

Nope, I wouldn’t want to see that dreck even on a slow news day. I was absolutely appalled.
