Google Maps has just added what I feel is an amazingly useful feature to their directions tool, you can now use the mouse the drag and drop changes to the route they are suggesting. This means that if you know that a highway has road works on it you can just drag the directions over to another road and Google will change its directions to reflect the change. This is insanely brilliant stuff.
