Congratulations To Dave Trembley
Congratulations to Dave Trembley on his confirmation as Orioles manager for 2008. The Orioles celebrated by losing the most lopsided game in American League history to the Texas Rangers. 30 to 3. That is a football blowout, not a baseball score. At least we seem to be holding our lead against our dreaded competitor, Tampa Bay. What a life it is to be an Orioles fan.
UPDATE 8/27/07: Since announcing the appointment of their new Manager the Orioles have lost five in a row. Way to make him feel comfortable guys.

I’d like to apologize for the Orioles (or maybe for the viciousness of the Rangers).

Of course the last time a major league team had 30 runs scored on them in a game, the Orioles were a team in the National League. Who were then kicked out of the National League, joined the American League and moved, Irsay-Like, a couple years later to NYC, where they later became the Yankees.
