I got a complaint for a regular reader who was disappointed I hadn’t posted on the canoeist who came back from the dead. I don’t know why the story didn’t appeal to me. Maybe it felt like the guy and his wife were just too hopelessly incompetent as criminals or maybe it was just the level of pettiness, but as the story continues to just fall apart on them I haven’t been able to work up any of the glee I normally feel for incompetent criminal stories. However, I hate to disappoint a reader, so what do you think?
