Summer of Fear 2009: The Panda?
Apparently the panda has decided to throw their hat into the ring for the 2009 Summer of Fear contest. Their initial entry is a bit weak, a panda bit some guy on the leg when the idiot jumped into the panda enclosesure, but it is a start and we will be watching anxiously to see how the panda make out in this year’s contest. I will know we have arrived when we start to get the breathless news stories about this new menace.

Shouldn’t that be summer of fear – Man? I mean, it was the man who was the home invader in this story. The poor old panda was just minding it’s own business.

I am guessing the flying squirrel story is from India, but I have to admit the place names sound like something from somebodies D&D game. The elvish squirrel sanctuary at Srivilliputhur. Villagers of Kondappanaikkanpalayam fought against the darkness. Anyhow, thanks for the pointer.

I’ve seen those scary pandas! I’ve even been on Joy’s “Damn” Panda tour. Very funny!! They may look cute and cuddly…
