Hunters shot and bagged them, apparently to share with others as food, but instead, for unknown reasons, disposed of the bags in the woods where they were found. The names on the bags were the hunters names. Okay... the official says it's all on the up and up, but did the squirrels not get to a cooler in time for eating and so get dumped?
