Today In History: A Disney Darkspot

October 24th: Today in 1947 Walt Disney testified in front of the House Unamerican Activities Committee naming one of his employees, David Hilberman as a suspected communist due to his time studying art in Moscow and his participation in a Strike at the Disney Sudios. This had severe implications for Mr. Hilberman and can’t really be described as Walt’s best moment.

We’ll be sure and chat about that with all the employees when we go a-visiting the home of the Mouse. That and the joke how does it go again? “I didn’t say she was crazy…”

  2. Brett Says:

Ahhhhhh! You can’t tell that joke in Disney World! The Disney police will be all over you like a glazed donut!

  3. Todd Says:

    Hehe, you said “glazed”. :D
