Rosanne Cash’s new album Black Cadillac is very good. In interviews she says this album is her way of dealing with the deaths of her mother, father and step mother all within a year and the album is clearly on the edge emotionally. The sound is old school country, not the jokey country most think of when you say that, but the raw country music has been lurking behind the main stream radio for country since the forties. I doubt it will sway anyone that ‘hates that country crap’ but I think this is the best album I have heard for a long time. I really do suggest you give it a listen.
