Today In History: Mary Queen Of Scots Executed

February 8th: Today in 1587 Mary I of Scotland was executed for treason against the throne of England. I noticed while we drove around Scotland that Mary has the George Washington place in modern Scottish tourism. Every place we passed had a sign up saying that Mary had either slept there, visited there or had at one time possibly looked in the direction of any tourist site. I am not a big fan and am sketchy on the details of her life, but I know she got around Scotland a fair bit.
