Number One Song

OK, this is a cool site. This is what the Internet is for. Go to this site and see what song was number one on the day you were born. Mine was “Walk Right In” by The Rooftop Singers. A year later would have been ‘I Want To Hold Your Hand’. What was yours?

    Well, I’m sure this’ll get some laughs…

“Walk like a Man” by The Four Seasons

A year later would be the same as you, The Beatles held the charts for a while.

  2. Hjalti Says:

    “Sherry” by The Four Seasons.

  3. Carol Says:

“Are You Lonesome Tonight” by Elvis Presley. No wonder I liked it so much when Val Kilmer sang it in that spy movie…

The following year, “The Lion Sleeps Tonight” by The Tokens.

  4. Brett Says:

Good ones Carol! I don’t know, but I think I have the lamest.

  5. Todd Says:

I’ve got “Summer in the City”. Kind of meh.

  6. Stacey Says:

Wild Thing by the Troggs!!! I’m kind of surprised that Todd and I didn’t have the same one, but that’s the way of fame, I suppose. I bet Mom and Dad played it for me in the hospital…

  7. Brett Says:

‘Wild Thing’ wins so far. Anyone else?

  8. Carol Says:

    I think Stacey’s fits the best. :-)

“Telstar” by The Tornadoes. Actually a cooler song than I am a person. I feel as though I may have let the Tornadoes down. But the following year was “There! I’ve Said It Again” by Bobby Vinton and I’m definitely cooler than *that.*

  10. Brett Says:

Telstar is pretty cool actually and yes, you are cooler than Bobby Vinton, but I am not sure that is a very challenging standard to use.
