Pepco’s Fun Frustrating Game
Pepco has a fun and frustrating game to play for those whose power is off yet still have internet connectivity. You can go to this site and watch their power outage map and the location of their service crews. Power is out at my house and has been for hours. According to the map it is the biggest outage in service area, yet the little hats that represent service crews never get any closer to where I live. Fun, and frustrating this could be a popular game if Pepco played their cards right. Add some buttons to allow site users to suggest the directions the crews should move in, add some ghosts to chase the crews, you get the idea.

Sounds like fun, and then again there is my neighborhood approach - fire up the barbie and grill everythign before it rots. Offer beer to any wandering Pepco crew.

That would get them to your neighborhood faster the _next_ time power goes out, but I’m not sure you want them to imbibe too much while they restore power…

Hmmn, that might explain something then - every time I get in the shower the neighbor’s spotlight goes on…
