Today In History: Ragnar Lodbrok sacks Paris in 845

Ragnar Lodbrok is a legenday viking king who held Paris hostage and rampaged around the French countryside collecting a fortune in Hostages. Met his end in a pit of snakes in England which is not known for having a ton of poisonous snakes to fill pits with. This led to all sorts of cheery violence in England as his sons took their revenge.
