Today In History: Aloha Airlines Flight 243 Accident

April 28th: Today in 1988 Aloha Airlines Flight 243 from Hilo to Honolulu suffered from metal fatigue which caused a huge portion of the roof of the airplane to tear off while in flight. One stewardess, Clarabelle Lansing, was sucked from the plane and killed, but remarkably thanks to a very skilled crew no one else died. Take a close look a the photos and you will be amazed they landed that plane, I know I am amazed everytime I see the pictures. This is why I keep my seatbelt fastened even when the light is off like they ask me to.
