Today In History: Stonewall Jackson Wounded By Own Troops
May 2nd: Today in 1863 “Stonewall” Jackson was wounded by his own men in an accidental shooting due to mistaken identity. Jackson was a hard fighting fanatical general in the Confederate Army and his loss eight days after the shooting was a huge blow. He is another of histories generals that I certainly would not have liked at all, but whom I would want in my army if I were given the option of picking any commanders I wanted.
