June 10th: Today in 1942 the Nazi security forces sealed off the Czech village of Lidice then rounded up all the inhabitents. They killed the males over 15, sent the women off to concentration camps and either sent the children to German families or killed them. This was in retaliation for the murder of Reinhard Heydrich, a nazi official and Lidice was only one of the villages the Nazis destroyed. People sometimes ask me seriously why I hate Nazis, I normally look at them like they are stupid. I know people aren’t taught history anymore but if you seriously can’t tell me at least five reasons you should hate Nazis without blinking you really aren’t paying enough attention.
