Why GM Is Foolish: Part 21,003

General Motors vice chairman Bob Lutz says GM is working on Hybrids only to get good press and that the future is in Ethanol. He may be right about ethanol, but if the only reason they are working on hybrids is for press they are fools. They should be working on hybrids because they may just break thru and it is a damn good idea for a company that is supposedly trying to stay competitive to make sure they do R&D in areas that may be dark horses, just so they aren’t completely lost if one of the areas actually breaks thru. The only thing GM seems to want to research is how to be the same junk cars cheaper. Cheaper cars don’t help if no one wants to buy them.

Why are you so nasty and angry. There is nothing cheap with GM cars when compared to the other manufactures.

Nope, sorry. They are flimsy, expensive and boring. They reek of complacency and committee thinking, I used to regard GM as an American stalwart, now they are a symbol for a decaying brand. Americans can still build great cars, sadly they build them for Honda, Toyota and other non-American companies.
