Today In History: Nazis begin open persecution of Jews

April 1: In 1933 Nazi Germany began its persecution of Jews with a boycott of Jewish-owned businesses. The term ‘Nazi’ is used pretty constantly on the Internet. It is important to remember how the real Nazis worked, not just to call those who don’t agree with you on some issue a ‘Nazi’ because it is a cheap and easy insult. It is amazing to me how many modern Nazi web sites turned up while I was searching for this information. If you want to see what real Nazis look like, they are out there for you to see.
