Today In History: William of Orange wins the Battle of the Boyne

July 12th: Today in 1690 William of Orange defeats the forces of the deposed King James II in the Battle of the Boyne. The battle that sealed William’s claim to the throne. The battle is contreversial to this day and it’s commeration is still the cause of sectarian violence in an otherwise mostly civilized country.

Staggering Story

This story of child abuse is staggering. Almost completely unconceivable. Why anyone would do this is beyond me, there is an evil here that is simply unexplainable. July 11th: Today in 1804 Vice President Aaron Burr shot and killed the Secratary of the Treasury, Alexander Hamilton in a duel in Weehawken, New Jersey. This is remakable for being one of the few times in the history of the United States that a Vice President made any news on his own.
